The past few days I have been doing a ton of stuff, none of which directly relates to my project. The vast majority has been spent editing the wonderwander footage in an effort to produce a trailer and a full cut of the show. For those of you who don't know, wonderwander was this absolutely magical thesis project that I had the pleasure of participating in earlier this year. The project was directed by the amazing Amanda Pintore, who has this to say about the project:
"wonderwander, a dance performance for very young children and their caregivers, honors the creative interests of very young children through moments of surprise, audience participation, live music, whimsical movement, and tactile investigation of objects.
The choreography featured in wonderwander is directly inspired by a research project with very young children ages 2-4 and their caregivers. In this research, the wonderwander team explored early childhood movement patterns, social exchange, and the joy that can result from non-verbal, dance-based play. This production is made possible in partnership with Kerfuffle (www.amandapintore.com/)."
Well...I finished the trailer and here it is for your viewing pleasure!
In addition to working on wonderwander, I have also begun to work on obtaining an IRB for my project. Click here to find out more about the IRB process. The first step in obtaining my IRB is to do this insanely long online training that has a total of 12 modules with quizzes. I am just beginning, as in I am still on the first module. Needless to say, this will be an ongoing process and I will keep you posted as I slowly make progress.
